This bottle for mineral water holds the pressure from the carbondioxide in the liquid. It is made from PET plastic which is transparent and well suited for recycling.
The bottle is produced using injection blow moulding which implies two steps. First the small preform (right) is produced by conventional injection moulding. Then the preform is transfered to a blowmoulding machine where it is blown into the desired shape (left). |
