The single aluminium parts in the bearing construction of this Lotus Elise sports car, is joined together only using adhesive joining techniques (gluing).
Strength achieved from such joining techniques are similar to welding. A major advantage is that difficult accessible areas can be joined together. Production volume for this car is about 500 per year. |
