This food plate is provided with a thermoelectric module which enables it to keep the food either cold or warm, depending on the polarity of the applied DC power.
The thermoelectric module exploites Peltier effect (see glossary) shown by doped bismuth telluride, to pump heat, and eliminates the necessity of providing separate heating and cooling functions. |
