Larch is a relatively fast growing tree. It has a natural content of oil, which protects the wood from degradation.
Appareance changes with the age: First it takes a silver colour and later turns into grey or black. Larch is often used for fencing posts, since it lasts much longer than e.g. pine or spruce. |
