Process FDM - Fused deposition modelling
FDM produces parts in ABS and PA plastics as well as wax. It is faster (2-4 times) and less expensive (0.75) than SLA, but it cannot produce equally fine details and it is less accurate, although tolerances are in the same region as for SLA.

The required geometry is produced in thin layers by a small CNC-controlled extruder.
Typical layer thickness is between 0.1-0.25 mm.

Normal dimensions are 250 * 250 * 250 mm, however dimensions up to 1000 * 1000 * 1000 mm are possible.
Machines from Stratasys use FDM principle.
