The surface of this prosthesis joint is treated with nitrogen ions in order to decrease wear (lifetime 8 to 100 fold longer.) Furthermore, friction reduction and ageing resistance are achieved.
The prosthesis is made of a metal compound (TiAl6V4 or CoCrMo). |
